HOW QUICK FIND WORKS

Search All Your Tasks and Notes Instantly

Quick Find searches your entire Pachinko system in real-time. Press Cmd+F to open the search box, start typing, and results appear as you type. It searches task titles, task notes, project names, area names, and all other text content. The more specific your search term, the fewer results you'll get.

Search results update live as you type, so you can refine your search on the fly. Type "call" and see every task about phone calls. Add "dentist" and narrow it to just dental appointments. Use arrow keys to navigate through results, press Enter to jump to a task. Gary's search queries are precise, surgical strikes. Mine are vague prayers that I named something searchable three weeks ago.

  • shortcut Cmd+F opens search instantly
  • searches Tasks, notes, projects, areas, statuses
  • live results Updates as you type each character
  • scope Entire system
  • navigation Arrow keys cycle through results
  • effectiveness Depends entirely on your task naming
  • Pro tip: Descriptive task names make search way more effective. "Schedule dentist appointment" is searchable. "TODO" is not.
