Stop Editing Tasks
One at a Time

Select multiple, change once, thank yourself later

HOW IT WORKS

One Change, Multiple Tasks

You processed 15 articles into your inbox. They all need the same status and the same deadline. You could select each one individually, set the status, set the date, close, repeat 14 more times. Or you could select all 15, make the change once, and be done in 10 seconds.

Hold Cmd and click tasks to select multiple. Or click one, hold Shift, click another to select everything in between. Then apply changes - move to a project, set status, set dates, delete. Whatever you do applies to all selected tasks at once. Gary bulk-edits with surgical precision. I select everything and hope I didn't miss the one task that needed different treatment. His way has fewer casualties.

  • Cmd+Click Add individual tasks to selection
  • Shift+Click Select range from first click to second
  • Cmd+A Select all tasks in current view
  • bulk changes Move, status, schedule, complete, delete
  • drag & drop Drag entire selection to new project or area
  • COMMON BULK ACTIONS

What You Can Do With Multiple Tasks

Nearly everything that works on a single task works on multiple tasks. The interface doesn't change - it just applies the action to your entire selection instead of one item.

    Bulk Actions Worth Knowing

    • Move to Project: Drag selection to sidebar or use Quick Move (Cmd+Shift+M)
    • Set Status: Right-click selection → Status or use CTRL+(0-9)
    • Set Dates: Right-click → When, applies start date or deadline to all
    • Delete: Delete removes all selected tasks

If you're repeating an action, you should probably be selecting.
